// USA Documents Required:

All shipments require a packing list or inventory, if you have opted for a packing service our crew will complete this documentation for you. However if you are shipping self packed boxes then please provide us with a content list for each box. The inventory does not have to list every individual item but the more detailed the list is the more it will help customs clearance.

Example:

  • Box – Clothing and Shoes
  • Box – Books, Dvd’s, Cds
  • Box – Computer Games, Books

We will also provide you with a USA 3299 Customs form to complete and require a Power of Attorney and also a Treasury Department Supplemental Declaration.

Our team are on hand to advise and help you complete these forms.

A copy of your passport picture page is also required, along with a UK collection address and also delivery address and telephone number. If you do not hold a USA passport then we also require a copy of the visa page.

Please note that you must be present in the USA at the time of arrival of your goods at port.

// USA Shipping Transit Times

Part Load shipments are mainly shipped through the ports detailed below, however this may vary. Dedicated containers will be shipped to the nearest sea port and we will be happy to advise you of transit times.

Philadelphia: 12 days
Miami: 14 days
Los Angeles: 25 days

The times stated above are for time at sea, please also allow for customs clearance and delivery upon arrival at port. Again our move managers will be happy to advise on delivery times but as a general rule we would estimate 14-21 days for part load deliveries depending on the area in the USA.

All shipping quotes to the USA are based on good access and delivery to ground floor, there may be additional charges for long carry, elevator delivery, stair carry.
