Tadoussac Information :
The oldest permanently inhabited European village in Quebec, is a village called as Tadoussac. It is also the oldest surviving French settlement throughout the America’s. In the 17th century, this place was a very important French trading area. This village is based at the joining of the River Saguenay with the River Saint Lawrence. It sits on the Northern shore of the Saint Lawrence River. The salty and warm water of the Saint Lawrence combines with the cold water of the Saguenay. Due to this combination, a marine environment has been created and is a prosperous place for whales. The Baie-Ste-Catherine to Tadoussac ferry provides a free service across the River Saguenay and the Eastern Terminus of this ferry is the village Tadoussac. The population of Tadoussac in the 2005 census is 857. The temperature in here varies from -19 to 23 degrees Celsius.
